July photoshoot

RCB Fashion and Jennifer Norton Photography are going to collaborate on a project in July. I am super excited to work with her on this.

RCB Fashion is going to provide a wedding dress for a "trash the dress" photo shoot. For those of you that do not know what this is here is a quick synopses from Wikipedia:

Trash the dress, also known as fearless bridal or rock the frock, is a style of wedding photography that contrasts elegant clothing with an environment in which it is out of place. It is generally shot in the style of fashion and glamour photography.

Usually brides decide to have pictures taken on a beach, but other locations include city streets, rooftops, garbage dumps, fields, and abandoned buildings (check out www.trashthedress.com for some awesome pictures!).

We are going to get down and dirty to destroy this dress!!

We will also be providing "casual clothing" as well for some model shots. The direction for this is undecided at the moment but I am thinking classy pin up 50's style.

Cant wait till July for this shoot!

First Post

The past week I have finally decided that I need to really push my career and get my website/logo/and blogspot made for my contract/custom sewing business. I work really hard at what I do but find I am often just "the person behind the sewing machine." This blogspot and my website I feel will give me an entity.

For those that dont know the custom sewing side of my business is called RCB Fashion, coined from my clothing line Rock Cherry Bomb. It is the more professional side of Rock Cherry Bomb. The website is www.RCBfashion.com

My husband, Dale, is a very talented graphic artist and videographer. He will be designing my logo and website. I have given him very little guideline on what I want, so I am excited to see what he comes up with. Often in both of our careers creative freedom is stripped from us because we are always having to do/make what someone else wants...so I am excited to give him an oppurtunity to use his talents.

Some big things are in the works so stay tuned.
