I had a prior post about selling stuff at Pin Up Girl Cosmetics in Atlanta, GA. Today I dropped off 2 dresses, a skirt, a top, and a corset. I got a call a few hours after dropping off the garments that they loved my stuff soo much that some of it made it to the front window display :) Everyone please stop in and check it out! Hell on Wheels Beerfest Pin up contest winner!!!

Halloween

I hope everyone had a safe and Happy Halloween!

RCB Fashion was asked to be a vendor at Electric Body Art's Trunk or Treat event. It was a safe place for kids and parents to go to dress up, get candy, play games, and raise money for childrens cancer.

I paired up with my friend and business partner, Nancy Couture, to set up a booth and sell some of our goodies. We both individually brought things we had made as well as had a few of dresses from our joint clothing line Knot Couture on display. Between lack of time and money, neither of us had costumes to wear! I am a big fan of Halloween so we HAD to dress up. I, being the "darker" one of the two of us decided to wear all black and be a day of the dead girl. Nancy chose the lighter route and was a day of the dead bride. RCB Fashion loaned Nancy a dress to wear too (picture to the right). If you would like to purchase the dress, please visit etsy.com.

Pin up girl cosmetics

I had a meeting tonight with the lovely Kellyn, owner of Pin up girl cosmetics, in Atlanta. I was meeting with her because I will be placing items from Rock Cherry Bomb, RCB Fashion, and Knot Couture in her shop. I am very excited to have my stuff in such an awesome store! There are already Knot Couture pieces in the shop and more will be added soon. Please stop in the shop and check everything out!

Hell on Wheels Beerfest

I am pleased to announce that RCB Fashion will be a part of this years Hell on Wheels Beerfest. We are donating a custom casual dress to the winner of the pin up contest!

Trunk or Treat

Rock Cherry Bomb - our sister company - will be selling little clutches, purses, hair pieces, and more at Trunk or Treat hosted by Electric Body Art. I hope to see everyone there!! Here is the info:

On Halloween Day we will be having a "Trunk or Treat" style event at the shop! This will be a safe place for the kids (and you adults too) to get candy! Kids will go Trunk to Trunk instead of door to door to get candy. Just park your car, and set up you bowl at your trunk :)

We will also have FREE face painting, FREE games for the kiddies to play, with fun prizes, a place to take a family portrait, so don't forget those cameras!...

Chaviano Couture makes it to MARTHA STEWART WEDDINGS!!!

Exciting News!!! Chaviano Couture made it to Martha Stewart Wedding's online! This beautiful convertible dress is called Britteny Leigh. The design is by Annette, and the pattern and sewing were provided by RCB Fashion. I am very excited to share the excitement knowing I am the behind the scenes talent that makes the dress come to life. Congrats to Chaviano Couture - I see big things coming in the future!

Last Minute Custom Wedding Dress

I received an email on Etsy.com from a frantic bride that had her dress ruined by a seamstress during the alteration process and she was in need of a new dress ASAP. I agreed to make her dress overnight and ship it to her next day air to give her as much time as possible for alterations in the event they were needed. Good news is she got it and the fit was perfect! Here are some photos from her Oct 9th wedding.

Wow I cannot believe it has been a month since I have blogged!! Time flies when you are ALL OVER THE PLACE!! I have many new and exciting things going on!!

First and foremost I would like to once again plug my friend Jessica Hill on her awesome event Ink 4 Pink, Knockouts for knockers at the Graveyard Tavern October 14th. The show was a HUGE success and it raised tons of money to go towards breast cancer research. I cannot wait to see what Ink 4 Pink has in store for the future. Below are a few outtakes from the shoot.





I made a post about a company, Chaviano Couture, I do sewing and pattern making for a few months ago. Annette, the designer, is currently showcasing her 7 new convertible designs at fashion week. She got booked on a last minute runway show, some photos are attached below. I worked very hard on all of the patterns and 4 out of 7 of the samples and I am excited for her success at Bridal Fashion Week. Good Luck Annette!!






So here is my BIG NEWS!!! I have teamed up with a friend of mine, Nancy Couture, from Fashion College to start a new alternative wedding dress line - Knot Couture. In the last month Nancy moved up from Miami to live with me to start out the line - this has made our lives 100 times easier!! Our Spring 2011 collection includes 8 short funky wedding dresses. We have drawn up designs and sourced some AMAZING fabrics. We have had a few photo shoots and have shot 4 dresses so far - this means 4 more to go to complete the collection! We have had some great feedback from what little we have shown. I am proud of us both and all that we have accomplished in less then 4 weeks!! I attached a few sneak peak photos below.

Ink 4 Pink!!!!

Trash the dress photos

My wedding was October 11th, 2008. I made my dress and spent hours and hours cutting the leaf shaped pieces for the skirt. I had a lot of fun trashing the work that I poured soo much time into, in a strange way it was rewarding to me. It was also great having my husband as the photographer for this sort of shoot, it made it more personal - we got married together while I was wearing it and we trashed it together.

Pattern/sewing work that is published!

RCB Fashion has been working with Chaviano Couture since their start up a few years ago providing pattern making and seamstress services. RCB Fashion would like to congratulate Chaviano Couture on their announcement that they will be going to NYC Bridal Fashion Week in October. Over the last few months Chaviano Couture started the process to create a line in addition to custom gowns. CC will introduce 7 new dresses at fashion week that are sure to make a statement! For this collection RCB Fashion has provided all the pattern services as well as some of the sample making.

Sailor Jerry 2011 Calendar Girl Search

Everyone please take a moment and vote for the BEAUTIFUL J.J. Diablo to be a featured girl in Sailor Jerry's calendar. J.J. modeled for RCB a month ago for a wedding shoot and we want to support her in ALL that she does.
